Location: 17/20

Accessibility: 8/10

Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club is located on the southern shore of South Kuta. The course is about 30 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the resort row on the eastern part of South Kuta. It is most accessible via taxi or private driver but can also be reached by motor scooter.

Course Views: 9/10

For those looking for ocean views, look no further. Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club offers more ocean views than any other course in Bali. Along with that, there is excellent hole design creating an aesthetically pleasing and challenging course. There is great use of water and local landscape. What takes it down from a perfect score is the large amount of property development ongoing around the course that detracts from the overall scene.

Facilities: 24/25

Pro Shop: 5/5

The Pro Shop is quaint but has plenty of branded gear and small souvenir items that are reasonably priced.

This score also represents the entire clubhouse which is a piece of artwork and is jaw dropping with its design

Practice Facilities: 5/5

There is a small putting green near the cart barn/in front of the restaurant. This area can also double as a small short game area. No practice bunker and no driving range. Full locker room, showers, sauna, and restrooms available.

Restaurant: 5/5

The elegant Kul-Kul restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating. Although I didn’t have a chance to eat there, the menu and food looked quite good. There is also the Spike Bar with seating on top of the clubhouse giving panoramic views including views of the Indian ocean.

Staff: 4/5

The caddy I had for the round was more than friendly and interactive during the round. She was very helpful but a couple of misreads on the greens. She also did a great job adjusting meters to yards.

Remember to tip your caddy!

Rentals/Golf Cart: 5/5

Golf cart was available with your tee time but comes without GPS and water is extra. Rentals are available and are TaylorMade M2 woods and irons.

Tee to Green: 17/20

Rough Condition: 8/10

The rough was at Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club was fluffy and clumpy at times. There were lies where the ball would sit up and it was very easy to get too much club under the ball because it’s so fluffy. There were also times when you would be stuck near a clump of grass and have to make solid contact. It was well kept and consistent throughout although the lies were so varied.

Bunker Condition: 9/10

The bunkers at Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club were in great shape. They had a ncie packed base and light topping of sand. They were consistent throughout the course. Some were tricky with steep lips to get out of so make sure to avoid them when you can!

Greens: 26/30

Greens Conditions: 12/15

The greens for the most part were in great shape at Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club. They rolled true and the only dirt patches were on the perimeter of some greens. Some of the dirt patches were GUR and some was just a thinned out green but for the most part were well kept and maintained. They rolled at a Stimp rating of 9.5 according to the caddy and I would agree.

Fringe: 14/15

The fringe was cut tight and well maintained. There were large landing areas surrounding most greens. The fringe was the most impressive cut of grass on the course. It’s so tightly cut make sure you get your club bounce down otherwise you’ll be blading your tight lies all round.

Value: 5/5

Bukit Pandawa Golf & Country Club is more than worth it if you’re looking for a quick morning of golf while on your Bali vacation or business trip. A round can be finished in under 3 hours and is more than worth it especially with the magnificent views. It’s easy to see why it has won so many awards and continues to grow in popularity and notoriety.
