Golf Course Review Changes

As 2018 comes to an end and we look forward to 2019, we couldn’t be more excited about how this year went and what is coming in 2019. To start off 2019, we are announcing a rework of the scoring system we use for our golf course reviews. While the current system offers a good breakdown of the golf course, we feel we could be doing more.

We are choosing to do this for a couple reasons:

  • Offering more differentiation and individuality

    • After playing and reviewing over 20 golf courses in the past 6 months, 1/10th of a point is no longer enough to measure courses. Offering more points and more categories allow each golf course to be scored across more data points.
  • More objective

    • While these reviews are personal opinion, we want to offer a scoring system with a more objective approach. Our opinion will remain in the posts, but this point awarding system will allow us to showcase that no golf course is created the same. We love the game of golf but understand that reviewing courses must come from this refined, objective angle.

This will roll out with our new golf course reviews in January as well as going back to old reviews and refreshing them. We hope this will lead to a better experience for you and we are welcome to feedback as we modify the scoring system.

We are already planning our 2019 schedule and we have Dubai on the books already at the end of January. Prospective destinations include South Africa, South America, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Florida, and Spain. As always, we are open to recommendations from you!

Additionally, we are fully invested in improving our video productions. You will see YouTube videos posted more frequently for your enjoyment.

Thank you for your continued support and we are excited about what we have in store for 2019.

Hit ‘em straight,

The Traveling Tee Times Team
